Warranty conditions

Consumer warranty (except for Europe, the Middle East, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil)

The original Sennheiser brand consumer hearing product, manufactured by Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH, that you purchased is covered by a 24-month warranty (explicitly excluding the ACCENTUM Open, which is covered by a 12-month warranty). This warranty only applies to products purchased from the current range.

These warranty periods begin on the date of purchase of brand-new, unused products by the first end consumer and apply only to the original purchaser (the first end consumer to acquire the product). Please retain your purchase receipt (or warranty certificate) as proof of purchase. Unless you provide proof of purchase, which will be verified by a Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH service partner, you will be responsible for paying for any repairs carried out. The proof of purchase must include the purchase date, the point of purchase, and the product name.

If, within the applicable warranty period, the product is determined to have a manufacturing defect due to improper materials or workmanship, Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH or a service partner will replace the product or its defective parts (at Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH's discretion) free of charge for labor or parts. Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH may also, at its discretion, issue a partial or full refund of the original purchase price in exchange for the returned product.

Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH or a service partner may replace defective products or parts with new or refurbished products or parts. All replaced products and parts will become the property of Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH or its service partners.

The following cases are not covered by the guarantees mentioned above:

  • Minor defects or deviations in the quality of a product that do not alter the value or suitability of the product for the intended purpose.
  • All accessories included with the product.
  • Rechargeable or disposable batteries (these products have a shorter lifespan, which also depends on the frequency of use).
  • Failures resulting from improper use (e.g., handling errors, mechanical damage, incorrect operating voltage). For the purposes of these warranties, proper use is defined as using the product under the conditions specified in the instructions for use.
  • Failures due to normal wear and tear.
  • Any modification to the product made by the end consumer or third parties is void unless Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH has provided written authorization regarding the nature and scope of the modification. For the avoidance of doubt, approved modifications will not void the warranty.
  • Failures due to force majeure.
  • Faults that the buyer was already aware of at the time of purchase.

Any warranty claim will be void if the product shows signs of alteration by unauthorized persons or repair shops. Furthermore, these warranties are void if the identification or security labels, or the serial numbers on the product or its parts, have been removed or modified.

Warranty claims may be made from any country in the world where the country's regulatory rights do not conflict with our warranty regulations. Other warranty claims or claims beyond the rights mentioned in these terms and conditions will not be accepted.

Consumers may have access to certain statutory rights in their own countries that are not restricted by these warranty terms and conditions, as warranties are governed by the laws of the country where the consumer purchased the Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH product. The provisions of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods do not apply to this service.

If you wish to make a claim under these warranties, please contact your local Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH service partner.
